Shift Meal is a punk/emo band based out of Baltimore, Maryland. Jake (Guitar and Vocals) and Jonah (drums) crossed paths as coworkers at a café in the revolving door of the restaurant industry. What started as a shared love for old video games and anime soon became a close friendship that can be heard in their lyrics and felt at their shows. Shift Meal formed in Jonah’s basement in early 2022 when Jonah offered to help Jake record drums for a solo project. After jamming and writing some songs, they started playing shows in basements and on friends’ porches. Shift Meal, despite their name, is not on break, and they’re working hard in your headphones and on stage to make you glad you’re sad.
