Matamoska! was established in 2001 by Jose Padilla, Richard Sanchez, and Hector Rivera in the midst of a budding ska scene in Los Angeles. They fused an eclectic mix of ska, latin, reggae and punk music to create anthemic and catchy songs singing about life in the underbelly of Los Angeles and solidarity amongst misfits and minorities. This year is Matamoska!’s 23rd year and they’re releasing their 4th album “¡Matamoska!” Bad Time Records.
