Bio
For the past 15 years, Russo has toured his Red Scare releases, singing about love, loss and getting by. Always playing the kind of live sets that make you want to take the long way home, he’s also built a catalogue of records that belie his ‘folk-punk’ tag — offering a gritty, gutsy strain of solo pop-punk that’s equal parts Hermosa and Haverhill. His new record, out summer 2025 on Red Scare Industries, splits cleanly down the middle: five full-band bangers and five bare-boned acoustic tracks — the kind he’s made his name playing in all your favourite punk dives on both sides of the Atlantic.
Russo’s live set will have you raising your glass one minute and hugging strangers with a lump in your throat the next. Fest is still his favorite weekend of the year.
