Bio
Chilled Monkey Brains released their first EP, “Origins” in 2009, coupled with extensive touring, which won them a coveted spot on the Ernie Ball Stage at the 2009 Vans Warped Tour. Their first full length, “Chilled Monkey Brains”, was released in 2011 to major acclaim from the underground community, followed by an EP, “We’re All In This Together” in 2012. After significant lineup changes, including the amicable departure of original singer/songwriter RJ L’Heureux, the band recruited Zac Hall as the new singer/songwriter to put together their 2014 release APEocalypse, which included all new compositions from Hall, as well as a number of songs the band been working on before the lineup changes. In the coming years they would provide support to acclaimed acts such as Less Than Jake, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Mephiskapheles, The Toasters, and many others. They toured as headliners to support the release of APEocalypse across the United States, with four extended tours to the north east, numerous regional tours, and a month long tour across every region of the US. In 2018 they released the single “The Great Distortion” with plans for an album that they were working on when the COVID-19 pandemic halted progress indefinitely. “Back To The Mud” their 3rd full length release December 1st 2023. They toured the East Coast in 2024, and are releasing a full albums worth of cover songs throughout 2025 in their own unique style, seamlessly blending Punk, Ska, Thrash, Jazz, Metal, and experimental elements. They’re also pretty damn psyched to finally be playing Fest for the first time.
