Chilled Monkey Brains released their first EP, “Origins” in 2009, coupled with extensive touring, which won them a coveted spot on the Ernie Ball Stage at the 2009 Vans Warped Tour. Their first full length, “Chilled Monkey Brains”, was released in 2011 to major acclaim from the underground community, followed by an EP, “We’re All In This Together” in 2012. After significant lineup changes, including the amicable departure of original singer/songwriter RJ L’Heureux, the band recruited Zac Hall as the new singer/songwriter to put together their 2014 release APEocalypse, which included all new compositions from Hall, as well as a number of songs the band been working on before the lineup changes. In the coming years they would provide support to acclaimed acts such as Less Than Jake, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Mephiskapheles, The Toasters, and many others. They toured as headliners to support the release of APEocalypse across the United States. “Back To The Mud” their 3rd full length, was released on December 1st 2023. They’re currently releasing an album of cover songs, with the singles The Trooper (Iron Maiden), May 16 (Lagwagon), Very Ape (Nirvana), and Bananas & Blow (Ween) currently available on all streaming platforms.
