The Joytraders were forged in the open mic fires of local Gainesville bar, The Bull, in the summer of 2022, connecting through their shared love of writing music and drinking cheap beer!
In January 2024 they released their debut album, Anything But What I Need To as well as a sophomore EP, Have Fun Keeping Nothing. Both releases were recorded at local Gainesville studio, Goldentone Records.
Their performances are filled with heavy basslines, emotionally charged lyrics, melodic guitars, and intricate drum work. Through themes of nostalgia, heartbreak, and existential dread, they capture the highs and lows of young adulthood in a way that feels both deeply personal and widely relatable.
