Spanish Needles, hailing from Saint Petersburg, Florida, formed in 2021 in the wake of the pandemic and the sense of boredom and disillusionment that followed. Over the past four years, we’ve played some shows, gone through the ups and downs of lineup changes—losing and later gaining a guitar player—recorded a handful of songs, and self-released an EP. As Razorblades and Aspirin put it, Spanish Needles delivers “infectious melodic punk with a working-class edge in their lyrics—catchy, powerhouse riffs paired with a production style that brings to mind late-90s No Idea Records and a touch of Bay Area punk, like American Steel or Jawbreaker.”
