Florida folk punk band Confession Kids is made up of Quil Darling (vocals/guitar), John Gray Shermyen (vocals/guitar/harmonica/mandolin), Geo (drums/banjo), and Alex Roberts (bass).
When Quil and John Gray started the band in 2022, the group performed as a duo. Later, they would add Geo and Alex, giving them a fuller, punchier dynamic. Their music blends the political and personal, reflective of their perspective on life. Quil and John Gray’s conversational lyrics make the songs feel casual yet urgent, and the tightness of the performance by the whole band will call into question what you think you know about folk punk.
Following their debut EP, “Silver Lining Hooray!”, the band has released 2 new singles and are actively touring around the Eastern US.
