Nick and The Adversaries
Boston, MANick And The Adversaries AKA NATA are an exciting four piece band hailing from Boston, MA, featuring veterans of Pilfers, Lost City Angels, Big D and Kids Table, and The Glow. Heavily influenced by mod, 2-tone ska, reggae, power pop and punk rock, NATA originally began in 2012, with the release of their Give Give Give EP. After a few hiatus’s in-between (let alone a pandemic), 2022 saw the release of their long in-the-works debut full length record “Confidence, Man!”
Gigging around more often than not since, NATA has built a solid reputation for high energy live shows showcasing their tuneful, melodic songs. In March of 2024 they released the 7″ Boss Soundsystem b/w This Time on Ninguid Records, both digitally and on vinyl. A punky reggae homage to the great Jamaican reggae artists and sound systems of the world, “Boss Soundsystem” reached a larger audience beyond NATA’s home base of New England – from podcast and specialty radio play in both the US and England.
July 25th, 2025 NATA released their cover of INXS’s classic Don’t Change on all streaming platforms. Originally included on The Specialized Project’s CD box set “Skanking up the 80’s” in support of the Teen Cancer Trust (UK) foundation, all digital download proceeds for Don’t Change are in benefit of the Teen Cancer Trust, as well.
NATA have been hard at work on their 2nd full length record, to come out on Creep Records, for vinyl and digital release in the fall of 2026. The album is expected to continue the blueprint NATA has followed since they began – of writing punchy songs and catchy hooks – with a bit harder edge this time around, addressing the personal, social and political landscapes we live in circa now….
