Gab De La Vega

Brescia, Italy
Listen to “Gab De La Vega - To Live Is To Survive (Sometimes)”

Gab De La Vega is a singer-songwriter with a punk and hardcore background. After years spent playing loud music and shouting into a microphone at the top of his lungs, he picked up an acoustic guitar to write heartfelt, sincere songs about anything he felt the urge to talk about.

Born in Brescia (Italy), Citizen of the World: he does everything to take his music wherever he can. Throughout the years he toured Europe extensively (more than 20 countries, including the UK) and he also hit the US (East and West Coast), Canada (three times) and South America.
He played small shows and big shows, sharing the stage with artists such as Frank Turner, Against Me!, Laura Jane Grace, PUP, Chuck Ragan, Joey Cape, Tim Vantol, Kevin Seconds (7 Seconds), Austin Lucas, Ceremony, H2O and many more.

He went full band in the summer of 2019: the first time as Gab De La Vega and The Open Cages was as an opening for Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls. He’s been playing both full band and solo shows since then.

He has released 3 albums, a couple of 7” and a few singles. His third album “Beyond Space and Time” was released at the beginning of 2020, while a couple of new single followed up, as well as an appearance on an international 6-way split vinyl album with musicians such as Jesse Wagner (The Aggrolites), Vic Ruggiero (The Slackers), Finny McConnell (The Mahones), Lenny Lashley (Street Dogs) and Path.

In 2022 he toured solo across Europe, with shows in Austria, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium, played full band with Laura Jane Grace (Against Me!) in Italy and embarked on his third tour in Canada, with 22 shows between Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
He opened a show for the Canadian band PUP and last but not least, he appeared full band at Frank Turner’s Lost Evenings Festival in Berlin, at the British singer-songwriter’s invitation as well as at two other shows with The Open Cages in Southern Germany and closed the year with two more solo tours across Germany and Italy.

In 2023, while preparing his fourth album “Life Burns” release, he did a handful of solo shows in Italy and embarked on the “Road to the Next Chapter Tour” in September, along with his bandmates in The Open Cages to bridge the gap between “Beyond Space And Time” and his upcoming album with a series of full band shows across Italy, Slovenia, Austria and Germany.

Gab De La Vega sealed a deal with SBÄM Records (worldwide) to release “Life Burns” in March 2024, in collaboration with Sell The Heart Records (USA), his own label Epidemic Records (Italy), Motorcity Produzioni (Italy) and Overdrive Records (Italy). The album is being promoted with full band and solo tours all across Europe and in the USA and the feedback to its release and the live shows is being very positive. Full band and solo shows have been performed in multiple Countries in Europe and Gab De La Vega wrapped up successful 2024 with a 19 show U.S. Solo tour with shows on both the East Coast and the West Coast in November and a 5 show full band tour in the Iberic peninsula, with shows in Barcelona, Madrid, Tolosa, Pamplona and Oviedo.
He continues promoting
Life Burns with full band and solo shows in 2025 as well, bringing the album to Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, and England, Canada performing both acoustically and alongside The Open Cages.

In 2026 he’s touring Canada solo for his fourth time, including Pouzza Fest, one of the most important punk festival in North Amerca.
