Founded in 2014, Brooklyn’s Fat Heaven forged their sound out of the city’s DIY scene with melodic, ’90s-inflected pop-punk, laced with their gritty New York attitude. The punk trio has remained the same since their inception with Travis Yablon (vocals/guitar), Gayla Brooks (Drums), and Jack Counce (bass/vocals). Known for their high-energy shows and catchy hooks, they’ve released a string of records including a self-titled EP, Tough Luck (2016), the Crybaby EP, and their 2023 full-length Trash Life—a ten-song collection of new and previously released material issued on Sell The Heart Records (with international partners) that helped broaden their reach beyond local basements and venues.
Fat Heaven’s most recent release was a split EP with fellow FEST alum, The Raging Nathans, through Rad Girlfriend Records and Sell The Heart Records. The NY three-piece is stoked as hell to be back in Gainesville for another round of FEST.
