The New Lows
The New Lows, formed and reformed by Mike Levin, previously of 90s Orlandopunks Shyster, is a musical response to the age old dilemma: what am I supposed to be doing?
Response: creating indie-punk ragas for scythe sharpening and sowing modern mind fields.
Tapered to three pieces by fate and Floridian afternoon thunderstorms, The New Lows have been touring internally and recording transient musings in an effort to escape their latest record, I Couldn’t Sleep, released on Kiss of Death Records. Recorded at The Living Room in New Orleans, the album has been described as “melodic… aggressive… flexing…wide ranges,” “sing-along punk rock played like American rock n roll.”
Levin, along with bassist Wes Snowden (shyster, con dolore), and drummer Bobby Pino (formerly on guitar), can be found in the studio, at the club, upon the lake and looking forward to Fest 13 – Saturday November 1 at Durty Nellies.
