I Was Afraid

Since the release of their first record “No Love,” I Was Afraid has developed a powerful sound that is not often heard in the south. Reminiscent of bands such as Hum and Failure, I Was Afraid has spent time developing their sound into exactly what a space-rock band should be. From dirty, grungy wailing riffs, and guitar tones to elegant, soft, and spacey segues, their knowledge of the genre certainly shines. Since forming I Was Afraid has stayed busy on the road and on the homefront playing tirelessly and fine tuning their sound and the live show their fans buzz about.
