Ready the Jet
Ready the Jet live and play in Los Angeles. They are a “power-trio” who play power-pop. Their songs are about the day-to-day heartbreaks and joys of living in their sprawling, confusing city. Their music sounds nothing like Los Angeles.
Hiding under sheets of distortion and heavy drumming are earnest melodies and hidden harmonies reminiscent of the mid-80’s Minneapolis sound. A Ready the Jet song rarely lasts more than two minutes. Apparently, Ready the Jet’s ambition is to be as gratifying…and as fleeting…as a sonic sugarcube.
