When was the last time you went to a “punk rock” show and actually left satisfied? Remember when symmetrical haircuts, make-up and women’s jeans were actually worn by the gender they were made for? Haircuts, fashion, and “emo” got you down? It seems as if our prayers have been answered by the healing sounds and gospel according to EVERYBODY OUT!
Fronted by a freshly legal immigrant from Leeds, UK (dubbed Sweeney Todd by his adoring core of underground punk fans) Sweeney truly exemplifies talent and torture to honestly receive the title of “Punk-Poet”. His performance breaks the mold of today’s standards, and takes the audience on a tour- de-force of EBO’s musical message. On the stage, in the crowd, or hanging from the pipes dangling from the ceiling, all eyes are on Sweeney. Period.
EVERYBODY OUT’s musical backdrop is provided by the original wall of Boston sound, the signature rock licks that have put bands like the Mighty Mighty Bosstones on the map, former guitar player and songwriter of Dropkick Murphys’, Rick Barton lays it down.
This gang has a plan for a rigorous grassroots touring and release schedule in its’ sights. Boasting a power lineup featuring the shotgun attack of Kevin Garvin on drums, the hook laden leads of guitarist Mike Mc Millen, and the solid low end of bassist Sean LaForce, all former members of Boston Metal-Core heavy weights On Broken Wings, these dudes have crossed over to fulfill the respective position as backbone.
The live show, currently touring in venues across the US, is promoting their debut release for Taang Records, and the 2nd pressings of two self released EP’s that sold out before the band had even completed their 1st tour. The recordings and live show have been receiving rave reviews from punk purists, scenester elitists, and most importantly, true music lovers. Engaging, exciting, and absolutely the adrenaline shot to the heart this music landscape needs, EVERYBODY OUT is taking this to the trenches one town at a time.
