“The triple team onslaught of vocals adds to the powerful dynamic of the music, while instrumental intro and outros such as Witch’s Spell and Call of the Sewer Rat make this an epic album made to listen to from start to finish.” – Profane Existence #56
Debut full length LP/CD and follow up to their self-released EP, from Savannah’s swamp metal trio, BLACK TUSK. With a triple vocal attack and a sound alternating between sludgy, heavy southern rock tinged crust and breakneck blasts harkening back to the skaterock crossover bands of the 80s, the tusk contribute their own take on the full bore, brutal sound Savannah bands are known for. Produced by Phillip Cope of KYLESA (Baroness, Withered, Kylesa). Cover art and design by John Dyer Baizley. CD format has an extra track and comes with a bonus DVD.
Black Tusk will be touring throughout 2008, including an east coast and midwest tour with a stop at SXSW with North Carolina’s Weedeater, some east coast dates with Arkansas’ Deadbird as well as west coast and UK dates later in the year.
Upcoming releases will include a split 7” ep with The Holy Mountain and work has already begun on a second full length album.
