Travis was a former member of Small Brown Bike, Chris Heavener used to play in The Great Sea Serpents (Ben Reed’s new band), Travis met Jeff McKee while he lived in Florida and began writing a shit load of songs under the band name A Love Dog and then Travis moved to Chicago. They didn’t do anything with the jams. Travis met up with Michelle LeeAnne in a pull barn, in the middle of a Michigan woods, they started to sing songs and sip on cold Miller Highlife’s.
What Gainesville will hear – you’ll hear some songs from Travis’s solo album Travis John (A Love Dog) Blood & Love and you’ll hear jams from an album with his new band Leave Let Be Repeat the Sound of Joy. None of these jams are recorded, just demoed. After the fest, Travis will be trying to get into the studio to record both of these records.
