once in awhile you find one wandering (people) inhabited areas. they're more laid back then crocodiles....which is a rarer sight to see. i wouldn't feed it though. you'd just encourage it to interact with people more....

It's like your big brother tells you horror stories, you know it's nonsense but it doesn't stop a slight sense of The Fear.

it's all true.
that having been said, it's all not a big deal. you learn to deal with it.
in the great plains, you got tornadas.
on the west coast, you got earthquakes.
canada can be cold as fuck.
in the northeast, you got assholes.
everyplace has it's problems...and they are all easy to drink away.

yeah, this is all true.
its not like gators are all over the place, my sister goes to UF and rarely sees them. even if you do see one, unless youre holding raw chicken i doubt theyll approach you.
and this hurricane season was really lacking

If I see one of those things I will honest to god shit my pants. I was only planning on wearing one pair maybe I should rethink that. WHAT THE HELL! They can jump?? 5-6 feet is where my FACE is.... I'm a tiny lady. Goddamnit. I thought gators were scary, I will buy one a beer. Can we scare the crabs back into swamps or something? Do they live in swamps?? I want to stay away from them.

yeah the coconut crabs can jump up to five feet. but they usually don't go for the face, so don't worry.
