while that may be true, it had nothing to do with me...trust me
they're friends of Tony...but they have a decent following for only having been a band for around a year
and I'll be there to check them out...and I can't wait to see Nothington

Is the side stage set up near the main stage, or is it a situation where the side stage is downstairs or something?

don't know...sorry. I haven't actually even been in the place yet. Went the other night and didn't feel like scouting a venue during booty night.

A "myspace" band that plays shows often and is doing a US tour they booked THEMSELVES for a cd they released THEMSELVES. I know you were probably just trying to fuck with me but I'm just saying for anyone who thinks we just fell into the spot just because we know Tony, you're wrong...We are a VERY hard working band...We've starved ourselves and spent every last penny on music the past year buying a van, new equip, pressing the cd, among ALL the other things. For christs sake I sold plasma for a good while just so I could go to mug club every week at market street pub. People who know us know that. We honestly didn't even think we were going to get on the Fest, Tony told us in May he didn't think he was going to be able to fit us and we were bummed but we kept going full steam. We are just happy to be part of the Fest at all...we didn't ask for any certain venue...we were just as suprised as anyone else. We are super stoked to be playing there and are going to do our best to show everyone there that we did infact work for it.
Blah. drink beer.

looking at my schedule i realize there is a couple bands im seeing twice due to tampa show/house shows and what not. then i realized there is one band I actually see 3 times and go figure its Dirty Money.
after picking up their cd at the release show and listening to it a bunch im expecting nothing but awesomeness from each show.
im sure it was all just dumb luck to but they definitely have one of the best time slots at the Fest. right after lawrence arms, right before avail and the only band playing at the same as them ones to blame (and they cut into the first half of fake problems/fay wray/druken boat)

I think i'm going to be at The Venue for almost all of Saturday and Sunday. Not counting my band i think almost all the bands playing the side stage are solid too.
i've got a full on Fest chub right now

yeah, Oscar is pretty awesome
and even as broke as they are, they are really great friends. they came and helped me move from orlando to the middle of nowhere. and it wasn't any easy move, we had to bring 10,000 cans of grease with us, which are heavy as fuck. and Cam came along too.
and I'm so glad they're band doesn't suck...I've told them that before. Nothing sucks worse than having a friend who's band really bites.

Oh dude...you don't even know! We each have a phonebook under our sinks in there when we run out of paper towels to rip off and use instead. We haven't bought toilet paper since we moved in here a year ago....we usually steal it from the front office though. Haha.

that's not too bad. using newspaper sucks....the worst idea i ever heard was an old roommate of mine resorted to sliced bread because we didn't have toilet paper or paper towels and he couldn't find anything else...
