So do alligators actually roam the streets of Gainesville? Will I get the chance to throw a hunk of meat to one?

I just read that Florida Uni invented Gatorade to refresh their American Football team. Who knew? I know that's not the slightest bit relevant to your thread but it contained the word 'gator' and I wanted to share my new found knowledge.
Also, to answer your question, I hope not.

I would love to see the beasts wandering the streets and biting chunks out of punks.
Also well done on being from Glasgow, my grandma was from Glasgow and therefore I will buy you a beer in her memory but only if they sell Mcewans Export in Gainesville.

Only the 6-8ft gators roam the streets freely.
The larger ones won't fit through doorways as easily.
And the smaller ones are easier to catch and make jerky out of.
But you'll be fine! Just make sure and have some gator repellent on your batman tool belt.

I don't remember the name of it, but there's that sweet little swamp you can walk to easily enough through the woods. We went to gainesville earlier this year and spent a few hours checking out the gators, then realized we were a bit closer than we thought to a couple of them that were hiding in the bushes

haha rarely you see a gator wealking down the street. about one a day. but they might be scared of all the punks downtown...so they might avoid it. but i would stay away from the sewer openings though.

if i see a gator walking down the street, i'm totally going to wrestle it, then try and make it my friend, then share a fifth of whiskey with it.

thats a good idea. gators are much more docile when inebriated.

One of my greatest achievements, for sure. Going by another thread though it'll be less McEwan's Export and Tennents Super, and more something called King Cobra. It's a whole exciting new world.

oh and you'll all have to drink enough liquor to keep the mosquitoes off you.
and in the ocean, there's lots of shark attacks lately.
and then there's the deadly swarms of love bugs...seriously...it looks like smoke. They look like mosquitoes, but don't bite. They just fly around fucking...ass to ass in flight. It's quite amazing.
out of state drivers: Windshield wipers just smear them.
That's how little bugs cause pileups on the road.
and you'll all be here for the last weekend of Hurricane Season.
Florida Rules!
