clashes so far:
shook ones - dillinger four (seriously, why!?!?!)
delay - dead to me
dear landlord - la salle - municipal waste
bloodbath and beyond - the ergs
north Lincoln - this bike is a pipe bomb
im totally fucking siked about how this is the only clashing thats going to affect me. i'll have to run like a motherfucker to get from American Steel to One Reason, but i might make it.
time to make a 'war room', complete with a printout of the gainesville area from google earth with all the venues marked, and planned routes from each place to the other. (i kid you not!)
also, whats happened to the Gamblers?

A moment of silence please for the Chinese Telephones, who win this years prize as hardworking DIY band nobody is gonna see this year due to playing up against Raygun.
That sucks at least as bad as Grabass (or was it Billy Reese?) going up against D4 last year.

Also, while it doesn't appear to be bolded on the site, when I printed out the schedule, the "LTJ" was bolded on Lopan Takes Japan. Sneaky, sneaky, sneaky.
Looks like that's this year's worst kept secret of the Fest.

It would be great if Shooks and Gaslight Anthem could play other shows, i'd really like to see both of them but at this point there's schedule conflicts.

Actually, the worst conflict for me is on Sunday afternoon - I really want to see the Closet Fairies and Hidden Spots AND Armalite ... but I might be too fucked up by then!

My personal nightmares:
Avail against Fay Wray
3-6pm in the side bar against 3-6pm in the venue on Saturday
the worst:
Tiltwheel 7:50 - 8:20
Blood Bath and Beyond 7:20 - 7:40
VS.
The Ergs!
I am not cool with this

I think i just figured out why there's a break on saturday from pretty much seven until eight - it's so everyone can go see avail innit. Awesome.
Also, if i want to see small brown bike, does that mean i'll have to go in before less than jake? Boo-urns.

crap, thats a point.. argh.
i now have the schedule printed out at least so i can begin 'operation hot mother' (anyone?).
im inclined to see Shook Ones over D4, much as people will no doubt be like 'whaaaa!?!?!', i really like D4, but i LOVE Shook Ones, their last album alone was just so incredible that i tihnk i'd be a fool to go and see D4 just because i feel i 'should' y'know?
also, The Ergs and Fay Wray win out for me in those clashes. Fay Wray especially, reunions win out over all other bands.. no matter how elusive.

The D4 live show is better than the sum of it's parts. If you've never seen them i'd highly suggest you catch a Fest set. Last year the stage collapsed on one side cos there was too many people on it and a naked dude swandived into the crowd. It was awesome.
