securitys at the venue. what the hell was that all about? 35 year old males searching girls? thats not even legal. barriers? i get the thing behind barriers. there have alway been way to many people on stage the previous years. BUT if you have a barrier, the security working that barrier should do their fuckin´job. i saw a guy goin head first into the ground at the new top spot in the gap. that guy didn´t look to good and security was just standing there. what the hell. that really pissed me of. all the volunteer securitys did a great job! hired security is always trouble.
please, no venue next year. just keep the new top spot (awesome!!!) and get rid of the venue. just don´t book those "huge" bands who cost way to much anyways and everyone can see them all year.
Fest! i had an awesome time and love you all

Fest! i had an awesome time and love you all well, Good Riddance just got back together and are not touring that much, Lagwagon also, don't tour that often, and Propagandhi, well they tour every five years when they release a new album, im glad i saw Propagandhi, Lagwagon and Good Riddance, i don't like the florida theater that much, but those bands were a great addition this year

Easily the best security, venue staff, bar staff, etc I've found at any festival I've been to. I was only at the new top spot for from ashes rise, so I cannot comment on that, but dang what a nice group of people. There was one particular guy at 8 seconds that was awesome, over three days of taking drinks off the pool tables he never once seemed annoyed and made a joke of it each time.
There was one guy at mothers who wouldn't serve liquor to us because we didn't have american ID. Our passports and drivers licenses didn't allow us (Both 26) to drink...
Our server at reggae shake was the nicest person on earth. I've never met a more enthusiastic woman in my life. What an awesome place. Gainsville rules.

I'm going to assume most ladies at Fest are 18+ since that's a requirement for a lot of the venues, thus 35 year old men searching women is not illegal. I don't see anything wrong with checking men and women. I walked into almost all the venues without my bag being checked. It only happened twice at the FL theater but the other times I was waved through. You never know who's going to bring a weapon in. Now I don't really like being groped and I'm sure guys don't like it either but in the end it's their job and they should be at least doing some sort of precautionary measure for men and women.
But anyway, the security Sunday at :08 seemed pretty tense. I had my wrist yanked around a couple times so they could see my wristband which I felt was unnecessary but I got over it.

TOO MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS!
I don't mind a couple, but there were at least 8 or 10 at some of the larger venues and it was distracting. Plus i remember seeing Sam from dead to me have a serious problem with one who refused to get out of his way. 1 or two at the larger venues would be fine, especially cause were all taking pics with our phones anyway.

I fucking love being groped. I only saw one person the whole weekend get kicked out and it was for a totaly good reason, on top of that while the Charles Bronson looking mother fucker was carrying the guy out on his shoulder like a gheto-blaster he was also kindly explaining why he needed to leave. They didn't even cut his wrist band.

Other than having a substantial amount of money stolen out of my room at Paramount Plaza and one member of security at 8 seconds deciding that the best way to get my girlfriend from sitting on the pool table was to grab her ass and squeeze it really hard rather than tell her politely, the whole weekend was great

I was talking to Tony and he said that the New Top Spot is being turned into something after Fest and he doesn't expect it to be available for next years Fest.

I never saw anything bad involving security other than the bouncers at Loosey's taking forever to let people in.

Fest! i had an awesome time and love you all This finally makes sense why you started the rumor that the Venue wasn't going to be used this year: you have a personal grudge against the place!

Staff dude. We had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door at all times even when we were out festing but on the last day I took it off for some reason as we were heading downtown. When we got back late Sunday night the bed had been made and I noticed my bag that was hid down the side of the bed had been moved, had a look in there and my money had gone. Neither the hotel or the cops gave a shit
