Hey everyone, this is gonna be me and my gal's first Fest - we're super pumped.
We have a good list of bands that we want to check out - but I have a quick question to see if there are some more I should know about:
What edge bands will be at this year's Fest? I've been edge for a few years now and would love to hit up some great edge shows.
Thanks in advance!

Not that I think anyone at the Fest is particularly intolerant of straight edge or anything, but I can't honestly think of any bands that don't at least drink. Just taking a total shot in the dark, I would say 90 plus percent of Fest goers probably indulge in some sort of behavior like that. Kind of hard to believe an edge band would play a festival sponsored by pbr but I guess I've heard of weirder things.
For what it's worth, anti flag is straight edge!

Well 7 Seconds are playing and they might have been a bit straight edge in the past...not sure that's the case now though. Either way their one of the best punk bands ever.

The only person there this weekend that I'm aware is straight edge is Russ from Good Riddance.

Its not that weird for sxe bands to play. Out of my mind I remember Punch playing last year. Plus a number of individuals that don't drink (for whatever reason), myself included.

There is way more non-drinkers at Fest than you would probably assume... And although I drink now I was sober at fests 5,6 and 7. I'd much rather hang out with the sober people than the Fest types who are 10 pbrs deep by early afternoon and insisting that I high five them....

People getting weirdly divisive again. Come on, folks. Let's all be pals. I'm Fest. You're Fest. We are all Fest.

I can understand wanting to hang with sober people instead of drunks. But who hates high fives?

Sorry Kenny, I didn't mean to sound divisive, I just spend too much time with Bryon kod and eric op!!! I got bummed out on Fest after 7, so skipped 8 and 9 Then came back last year and it was probably the most fun I had at any of them. I literally cannot wait for next weekend, but as with any festival/large gathering of people I will walk in the opposite direction to avoid anyone giving out high fives/hugs. Greg

I didn't actually mean you, old chap, more the slight implication that Fest isn't really for non-drinkers. It would be a different experience but I'm sure it'd still be tons of fun.
