The Lubee Bat Conservancy holds its annual open house and bat festival on Saturday, October 27th from 10 to 4: http://www.batconservancy.org/index.php/bat-festivalIt's a bit of a drive outside Gainesville, but also in the general direction of springs and stuff. Also, there's the bat houses on the UF campus, a couple hundred thousand bats fly out of them every night for about a half hour after sundown: http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/bats/
