They aren't playing Gainesville this year, but D4 are offering their support at a benefit show to help fight 2 terrible constitutional amendment ballot measures for the upcoming MN general elections. For those in the Midwest who can't make it to Fest 11, here's some info for a good cause:

***
This election, Minnesotans are faced with two divisive and damaging amendments to our State Constitution. In the fight to defeat marriage inequality and voter restriction in our state, The Triple Rock Social Club, Modern Radio Record Label and Cake in 15 have assembled a dynamically diverse group of artists from all corners of the community for two nights of fun: Minnesota Musicians Vote No - October 26 and 27 at the Triple Rock. All proceeds will benefit MN United For All Families and TakeAction MN, who have been leading the charge to reject these harmful amendments in our state.

Friday, October 26 - Punk rock stalwarts Dillinger Four hold down the evening, along with pop personality Har Mar Superstar, returning home from Los Angeles for this important cause. Channy and Drew of indie sensation Poliça join them, sprinkling the night with DJ sets, along with R & B standout Mayda, psych/pop rockers Magic Castles, and Bombay Sweets.

Saturday, October 27th - Solo sets from alt rock legend Dave Pirner (Soul Asylum), roots/folk artist Charlie Parr, and Adam Levy (Honeydogs). Rounding out the night will be psych rock favorites Flavor Crystals, L'Assassins, and Tripping Icarus, featuring Vikings' player Chris Kluwe, who has been so supportive and outspoken in the issue of marriage inequality. In addition, comedians Tommy Ryman and Maggie Faris will keep us all laughing throughout the night.

Both nights will be emceed by Ian Rans (Drinking with Ian). More TBA!

Tickets are available on the Triple Rock website and affiliated outlets. Doors at 7:00PM, 18+

Everyone in attendance will receive a special MN Musicians Votes NO digital sampler featuring a slew of Minnesota artists standing in solidarity to defeat these amendments. The compilation includes tracks from Free Energy, Tapes n' Tapes, Doomtree, Brute Heart, Blind Shake, Gabriel Douglas of 4ontheFloor, Dark Dark Dark, In Defence, Birthday Suits, and much more! MN United For All Families and TakeAction MN representatives will be on hand to distribute swag and speak to the issues.
