Now that the schedule is posted there is some obvious venue jumping that is needed...since this is my first time I am wondering how hard it is to jump between venues? Are there long lines? Do any of them fill up so that it turns into a one-out-one-in sort of thing? I would hate to leave one awesome show to see a band then get stuck in line and miss both...Thanks for your help!!

Only venues I have had hard times with were The Atlantic, Common Grounds/High Dive, and 8 Seconds at Fest 9 (last year was okay for me idk about anyone else)
in general, be prepared to wait, but you might be surprised.

Beginning of the day is always the hardest to get into all venues, tbh. The only problems I had last year was Friday night with the Venue (capacity all night until HWM got done) and Durty Nelly's when Tiltwheel played. Other than that, I didn't have a problem.

How much time should you allot to get from one venue into another? I'm trying to have about 20-40 minutes, so like, Prawn ending at 10 PM and Ampere starting at 10:40 PM - is that enough? Too much? If you can venue hop in 20 minutes or less that would really help with schedule conflicts, but I don't want to risk it if it's a bad idea.

You can do it then. 40 minutes should be plenty of time between those 2 bands and venues. Especially since a band will end and people will probably leave in that time.

Just about all the venues with the exception of CMC are no longer than a 3 minute walk from one another

last time i went all i could think was, i wish i had a bike to get from venue to venue. might even look into it this year! although bands you'd planned to see get sacrificed and it doesn't seem so much of a big deal once you're there having fun and seeing 100 other bands anyway.

I pretty much abandon capacity-type lines unless there's only like a handful of people waiting to get in and a band is ending, but then again, I really hardly ever have any must-see bands that are going to be hard to get in to see.
If not at capacity, and well into the middle of a show, no venue should really take more than a few minutes to get into....and yeah, a bike can really cut your transit time down and make everything a lot easier.
Sometimes it's not so bad to have extra time to be outside and do outside-of-venue type stuff, or to get inside early and do before-set-starts type of stuff. Sometimes skipping around real fast-like makes me feel less like I'm at a real show and more like I'm at Warped tour or something.

I'm assuming Ampere are playing the Atlantic - queues are often pretty bad there and before Ampere particularly it'll be tough to get in. I'd be tempted to make a call on which one matters more to you.
