Anyone used this place before? It's closer than where we usually stay (La Quinta), about 2 miles from the Florida Theater. The reviews look bad but i'm not too worried about the quality as long as it has a bed at night. Mostly i just want to know if we can walk back there at the end of the night and any past mishaps i should be aware of.

I ended up booking at La Quinta by the highway. Not as close but it's pretty reasonable and clean. Still down to get that beer though!

Splitting cabs would save us so much money! I looked into renting a couple bikes but $40/day seemed a bit steep. We'll have to exchange #'s.

Looks like I'm just going to rent a room here. Sounds like it's a dump, but it's cheap and pretty close to the action. If anyone wants to go in on the room with me, let me know.

I've walked past the Knights Inn before when wondering around Gainesville pre-fest. No idea what it's like but the fact that I've walked past it means it is at least waliking distance of sorts!

Well that's a positive! haha. It seems to be about 2 miles from most of the venues, which isn't too bad I guess.

I'm staying here as well. The breakfast seems meager but I don't believe many Festers will wake up early enough to sample it. And, according to Chris at the front desk, the hotel IS NOT AS BAD as the reviews make it out to be.

Cool. Sounds like there will be lotsa Festers here. This place isn't turning out so bad. I'm still looking for a roommate or 2 if anyone wants to split the cost?

My buddy and I will be there Thursday-Monday. I really hope the entire hotel is full of Festers and not families, etc..

ps: I feel like I stayed here during Fest 8 and the hotel was actually pretty decent for $60/night.
