it seems like every other hotel in gainesville is booked up. has anyone stayed at the econolodge before? is it at least half decent?
or is there the mega long shot of anyone knowing anyone that wants to sell a holiday inn or paramount room please?

I stayed at e lodge last year. It wasn't bad at all. I have a few friends who will be staying there this year so I may go hang out there sometimes since I'm like a few minutes walk away. Or come hang with all of us at days inn and abvi right across the street. Shit will be fun around there for sure. Yup.

As I understand it Dan, all those hotels down there are all pretty similar bar the Paramount and perhaps the rather dodgy looking Bambi Motel!
A couple of my friends are staying at the Econolodge this year too. I'm sure it'll be ok if a bit of a step down from the Hampton!

Looks like the Knights Inn still has space too. Not sure if it's cheaper or nicer but it's about the same distance only in the other direction.
