lol shits gonna be fun. I hope people get real disappointed. I remember when I was in high school "the Misfits" played at some warehouse over by where boca is now.

yeah, we've gotten a shit load of messages from people thinking that green day would actually play this... and even one person who didn't read the info on the tickets page request her money back... so people are already pissed haha

I just showed my roommates gf the flyer and she freaked out on us. Now she wants to go to Fest lol

well, we can all sit here and exchange "punk street cred" about how "we" know green day "would never" play a show like this.

but its still stupid put that on the flyer, regardless of whether there was a disclaimer below. keep in mind this flyer is posted on the fests main page and there is no disclaimer on the flyer itself... yes people will click that and rush to buy tickets based on the band names on the flyer.

i dont think you get "street cred" for knowing that a band that plays places like Giants Stadium for $70 probably wouldnt be playing a show for $7 at a bar in Gainesville...

also, last year there were fliers and laminates and it was on the Fest page! made up for the show that had:
REFUSED
AC/DC
WEAKERTHANS
REPLACEMENTS
etc..

i dont think anyone really thought those bands were playing...

well shit, i was looking for at least a C+ for effort.

anyway, you already said tons of people were sending you messages asking for clarification.. so some pretty un-punk individuals without my level of street cred were wondering.. most people just arnt accustomed to seeing flyers that require further explanation. i assumed it was either a joke or a band doing covers before i found the explanation... now uh, the weakerthans i would have believed 100%.. why would that be so hard to believe?

Well I still believe these rumours are just to put off the mainstream people and Green Day are actually gonna play after all.
