<  While in Gainesville  ~  Unofficial Hotels

plus it will be full of mostly Fest people. the neighborhood of the days inn is fine, its on 13th street which is a big long major road that runs through the middle of gainesville and intersects with university ave (where all the shows are at)

although you may encounter a stray redneck or two on the 2am walk home they dont usually bite hard.

Please be careful on those walks back to the hotel. Stay on the main roads and go with a group. People have been mugged and assaulted after hours in Gainesville. Mostly alone and on the back streets. This has happened during Fest.

is it hard to find parking near the venues area? i don't really mind the long walk to the venues, but returning to the hotel, on saturday im already a bit tired to walk back to the hotel, and don't mention sunday

Yes. There are parking garages right downtown.

^That question, but about Quality Inn. I'm not going to be changing, really, but just curious since it's never mentioned but it's not that bad of a walk.
