One time, I tried to prefest in Athens, GA with a bunch of Quote Unquote bands, but Matt Kurz posted the wrong event time on his facebook, and I took a two hour detour for no reason. At least I got to see BTMI's last two songs fo' free. I ended up tell Matt Kurz how much I hate Matt Kurz (on accident, I had no idea it was him) and he let us in for the last couple songs.

Haha. That was Steveo from the holy mess and he landed on my buddy Josh. Surprisingly, no one was hurt.

Beau from Avail jumped off the top of the speaker stack during Fest 6 and did a forward somersault as well!!! One of the craziest things I've seen at Fest ever. For a moment he looked as if he was thinking twice but he just chucked himself off and was caught by a bunch of people below. That was my first Fest and Avail confirming pretty much made me book it. Their set that year at The Venue and Monotonix the same year at The Side Bar are still my two favourite Fest sets of all time and this year will be my 6th consecutive Fest.

my favorite was that asshole on the saturday night of Fest 8 who ran around the venue drinking every mostly empty/partially filled with cigarette ashes PBR tallboy in sight. What a dude!

not actually a Fest story, but on halloween after last Fest i had a four loko for the first time ever (i'm from perú) and everything went black for me short upon reaching downtown. i have this thing that whenever i'm too drunk i fear i'm going to die like bonzo, so it wasn't fun at all.
my last day in gainesville was spent lingering in the aftermath.

i'm coming to the Fest this year too, but will stick to PBR and southern comfort mostly.

the breastfeeder was our friend chris, who was helping our friend and then new mom relieve herself. she had been pumping her milk all weekend at our house, but didnt bring her thing with her to the shows. its messed up, he got kicked out, she didnt haha.

me and a bunch of people staying at our house drank fresh milk one morning, it was warm and delicious.


also, one person, jay from nothington, peed in our closet on thursday night, which is what i think barry is referring to.

This one time at Fest last year, I took my pants off on the third or fourth floor of the Holiday Inn and started trying to kiss every dude I saw. I know I kissed at least 20 on the lips.

Yeah, I did. It was nuts.

At Fest last year, I saw two dudes get their beards tangled. It doesn't get more Fest-y than that.

One time at Fest...I saw Against Me! play. And it was amazing.

hey i saw that car crash too, i thought it was weird no one really seemed to care that both cars drove away from the incident. So sketchy!

Last Fest I went to a house show down the street from 8 Seconds. A bunch of crusties were hanging out in the front yard and there was some shitty local band and practically nobody else inside. After a little while this kid in a luchador mask gets tossed out the front door, and there's lots of yelling about him being a thief. The crusties beat the shit out of the guy before he manages to squirm away.

The kicker? He apparently "stole" a single can of beer out of an open case in the middle of the room. I mean, come on, talk about anger issues. I had the majority of an 18 pack of Pabst outside I was freely sharing with anyone who struck up a conversation.
