Been a Hampton person for the last two years but gonna go for the Thurs-Sun Holiday Inn package this year. Did anyone stay Wednesday last year? is it just a case of booking direct with the hotel and then moving rooms to your 'Fest' booking?
Or do you even need to move if you have the two bookings covering the period?
Or do people tend to stay elsewere? like the cheaper options on SW13th?

I used to stay elsewhere up until the Thursday then move to the HI/Hampton for the weekend. If you book the Holiday Inn separately and email them and explain you also have a Fest reservation they should be happy to combine the two so you don't need to move rooms.

A couple of times we've stayed there before Fest and before moving to the Hampton and both times they've taken one look at us at the check in desk, asked if we're there for Fest, and asked if we'd like our Fest time room right from the off. So you may not even need to get in touch in advance but no doubt it can't hurt.
