On the hardcore tip, I think Trash Talk was scheduled to play Fest either last year or the year before but dropped? I could be wrong, but I feel like I did see them on a previous Fest schedule one year. Unsure if they actually did play though, not really a fan.

Does anyone else remember this?

I think Ceremony would be a rad fit, as would Dangers if they ever come out to the east coast again.

I went to The Fest in 2009 and Trash Talk was scheduled to play. They bailed for the heck of it, I wonder if they are banned from Fest or something. Ceremony and Dangers would be both good fits. I'm pretty sure that if Ceremony is scheduled to play at The Atlantic, that place is going to go down hahahahaha

I really, really doubt TT just bailed "for the heck of it". There had to be a reason, doubt they're banned.... how could an act that has never played Fest be banned from it already?

According to other boards, those dudes bailed for the heck of it. Maybe I misread it or something, but those guys are really fucked in the head. You could expect anything from them lol

I have seen them multiple times, ans they are great! They would fit just well at The Fest. If they bring back Pulling Teeth, them fuck yeah. I would love to see some show like Weak Teeth, Young Turks, Loma Prieta, Comadre, Pulling Teeth, Trash Talk, Punch, and Ceremony at a place like The Atlantic or 1982. It would be crazy!

SWEET! Thanks for clearing that out. One of my friends told me that they bailed for the heck of it. What you said sounds way more reasonable and believable! Thanks, I really want to see Trash Talk at Fest!

Honestly, no offense to your friend, but sounds like they were either really pissed that Trash Talk canceled or they were just rehashing what they heard. Not everything you see/read on the internet is true :P

Generally when a band has a reason for dropping any show there's probably an actual REASON behind it, not just cause they simply don't feel like playing. Yeah I'm sure there are bands that are dicks, etc, but I doubt that this is the case here.

I dunno, I kinda like having most of the hardcore bands placed on other shows with bands that don't sound like them. In recent years, it seems like they are trying to organize specific shows based on genre, but it doesn't always work out, and I think its fucking rad to see a show where We Are The Union plays right before Polar Bear Club or Tigers Jaw plays right before The Copyrights. It's one of my favorite aspects of Fest.

That's true, haha. I'm glad that Vonni cleared out my doubts, though. Yeah, they were very excited about watching Trash Talk, hahaha. I only believed him, because you can literally expect anything from that band, lol. But yeah, you and Vonni are 101% right!

Yeah, I loved that too. I'm kind of bummed that I couldn't go to that show, because I went to The Venue instead. I wanted to see No Trigger so bad! I actually showed up for like the last We Are The Union song and for the entire Polar Bear Club set. They also booked Young Turks with some bands that don't sound like them. That's a good idea
