^^ This problem is so much more pressing than shirts not fitting. Why is it whenever a man gets riled about something, he's said to be acting feminine? HIS EMOTIONAL STATE ESTABLISHES THAT MEN GET MAD, TOO. GETTING UPSET IS NOT SOMETHING ONLY "CHICKS" AND "GIRLIE MEN" DO.

I'm so tired of living in a society where the biggest insult a person can dish out is to call someone a woman.

crybaby.

oops, guess im anti-kid as well as a sexist... seriously though you sound like a fun person to hang around. :)

If being called out for sexism isn't fun for you, maybe you should stop being sexist. Because being treated as inferior sure isn't fun for me.

okay ill play - this is where i say "hey, i have friends that are girls and they dont think im sexist" hey, i have black friends.. im not racist! :) what if... just what IF there were actually people out there that joke around like this and are TRULY NOT sexist or racist. did you consider the possibility that people who make these comments do not necessarily have a deep seated hatred/despise and that it is simply surface humor..

and i already know what you're going to say... "but its not funny!" okay, maybe not in this particular instance. it certainly wasnt very original, it didnt make me crack a smile. its one of those overused expressions (which is based on pure sexism man! ;))

convince me that ALL comedians who make a living joking about controversial topics such as race, sex, etc, etc etc are ALL secretly sexist/racist. are all the people who support these comedians the same way? the keyword here is ALL (not the band ;)) sooooo if that isnt the case, then there is another not so serious side to this that you arnt acknowledging.

sexism exists, racism exists, a lot of fucked up things exist - but being so completely serious and touchy about them 100% of the time creates a pretty sterile environment. you know, i think its hilarious when bands gives speeches about being anti-homophobic, or anti-racist, or anti-generalizing ANY group of people -- and then the next sentence out of their mouth is "FUCK COPS" and they're actually serious about it. yeah, it sure sounds cool but it makes absolutely no sense.

Sexual orientation, gender, and race are not choices. A career with an emphasis on violence, aggression, and a false sense of superiority most certainly is a choice. Your argument is weak and ill-informed. Not to mention your grammar is deplorable and the use of smiley faces indicates the maturity of a 12 year-old.

so its solved ladies and gents, all comedians who joke about race/sex and controversial topics are bad people inside. i knew someone would say something about the smiley faces :) - and im offended at you generalizing us smiley-face users as 12 year olds.

12 year olds have feelings too - im sick and tired of people not standing up for their rights and demeaning them to make a point. :)

Wait... so they're being funny if they give speeches about anti- whatever? Maybe you should look up reasons why so many people say "fuck cops", not just because you think they're saying it because it "sounds cool". Yes, bands do have reasons why they say what they say in punk rock. It's not just for witty stage banter all the time. In this scene, bands do have messages beyond "hey let's get drunk and party".

no, im aware they're being serious when denouncing racism, homophobia, etc. - and that its coming from the heart. i admire that BUT turning around the next second and generalizing about ALL police officers is hypocritical and unintelligent as hell. just as our friend Jon above made a sweeping generalization about why HE thinks people become cops.

according to him and probably thousands of other punks - all police officers are violent, aggressive, and have a false sense of superiority...........which is completely and absolutely true and if you dont agree you're not punk and should leave the "scene."   :!:  :P 8)

If you've met good police officers, good for you. I'm sure they exist. I'm well aware just as "bad apples exist in every bunch" there clearly are good ones. Me however, I have not met nor known any, and anyone I have ever met (I have quite a few relatives on the police force) who has become one has developed that very superiority complex. Even if they did not start out with it, they eventually developed it... and it's really unfortunate. I would very much like to be proven wrong, but it's been hard.

But I digress.

This is where I get to use my favorite quote from my History of the (American) Civil Rights Movement class. It's from Frye Gaillard's Cradle Freedom. It's in the third paragraph, but the rest of the page is necessary for context.

okay, the difference here is intent which becomes harder to figure out over the internet.

for example, if someone is telling racist/sexist/homophobic/stereotype jokes and i think the person really feels that way and is just wrapping it up into a neat passive aggressive joke package to have someone else agree with them, im not going to think its funny at all. if done in an ironic way it can be funny and we shouldnt be so scared of laughing at ourselves.

but come on..saying someone is sexist for saying "panties in a bunch" is a bit of a leap from all this. im sure females have said it too... i mean chicks. ;)

Hey Vardcore,

Thanks for the information. What happened to my hoodie is that when I bought it, the insertion pin was missing. I am afraid to put the shirts on and wash them afterwards, because according to some research that I have done, they tend to shrink a lot. I messaged Hot Water Music, but they haven't replied and it's been almost 2 weeks. Is there anything else that I can do about this? Also, could you tell me your thoughts about Tultex. Is there anything to do that won't make them shrink?

Response will be appreciated :)

I have a few tultex shirts, small, and they are still fine. Some of them are a cotton-poly blend, so that may make a difference. I like 'em. If you wash them and hang dry, they should not shrink.

Unless you are racist, in which case they will actually enlarge in the dryer. Not sure why that happens.
