So I was just looking through the news that were up on http://www.absolutepunk.net and saw that Strike Anywhere is going to be on tour this fall (end of this month until Oct. 12th ish?) with A Wilhelm Scream, Dead To Me, and The Copyrights -notice that they are all playing Fest this year- I think that this makes the chances of Strike Anywhere playing Fest even higher. I know that there's a 15 day difference from the end of that tour until the beginning on The Fest but I am kind of convinced that Strike Anywhere is going to end up playing The Fest this year.

I don't wanna be this one positive dude or anything but maybe he is covering them up. Remember that they might be one of the surprise bands. We might all have to wait until the 28th to find out. I think that Strike Anywhere will play The Fest since they just always play it and love to play it.

so, here´s what i know. thomas, the singer told me this, so it´s not a "i heard from a friend" story. they are not playing this years Fest. he told me the reason is that they played best freinds day, and they dont want to do both every year. everyone is living in different cities/ states, is hold up at work, studying and so on. IF sa is playin´Fest though, i would be beyond stoked! the other thing is, people are not really reading everything on this board. none of the mystery bands will be a band that isn´t already on the line-up. this was sayd a dozen times by festpeople. but why does everyone want this whole thing to be so much more over the top, than it already is anyway? it´s goin´to be the best weekend ever already. just sayin´

I am so glad that I have seen Strike Anywhere twice already hahaha. I read what Tony and Peej said about the mystery bands but I will hust stick to my "you never know what's gonna happen" statement. I wouldn't be surprised if bands that are not listed end up playing The Fest. Last Call, a badass Pop Punk is not listed and they are playing The Fest this year. If that helps a bit.

If that helps a bit. i asked them a few weeks back (last call) and although are gonna be in town they are not on Fest, they'd love to play and they have it on thier tour date poster. i told them about the hostage calm/transit show last year (at the mars pool bar) and they said they'd have a look at putting something on. same applies to the bombpops who are there as Fest goers but not down to play. sucks a big pile of arse that SA are not gonna play. makes me sad!
