Oh wow, that made me even more excited for Fest. As if it's possible for me to be more excited.
But one sidenote to Tony- I'm pretty sure if you asked a rape victim about her experience she would not liken it to having to pay $6 for a bottle of water. I really wish guys would take a minute to think about what sexual assault is and stop using it to complain about things like getting shot in the back during Halo.

The word rape can also mean: an act of plunder, violent seizure, or abuse; despoliation; violation: the rape of the countryside.Some words have multiple definitions. It doesn't just refer to forced sexual intercourse. I think he was using the word meaning the above definition. Could a better word have been used in that context? Probably. But I don't think he meant it the way you took it.

But I don't think he meant it the way you took it. I appreciate what you're saying. But it is inconsiderate and offensive when people use that word casually. As if overcharging for water was as reprehensible as a man grabbing me in a parking garage and forcing himself on me.
