I remember walking to a Method of Destruction show when I ran into some crusty kids. One of them asked if I wanted to hear some grindcore songs on acoustic. I'd declined but looking back, I should've been all "alright, play me some Napalm Death and/or Rotten Sound then". That would've been quite the sight.

what's the deal with new balances?

Well the reason I wear them is because they're the only footwear manufacturer that actually makes some of their shoes in the United States or United Kingdom.

That's a damn good reason! I'm gonna see if I can find out which ones are made in USA.

edit: That was easier than I thought. http://www.shopnewbalance.com/information/madeinusa.asp

Looks like you bought into the marketing hype. And there are quite a few more companies that make footwear in the US. New Balance is the only atheltic shoes company that claims their footwear is made here.

Yeah I saw all that too, but "Made in USA of imported components" or "at least 70% made in USA" is still better than everyone else.

Dude I'm not fucking stupid, I've done my homework.

In short, I prefer wearing Athletic Shoes and I like to support domestic manufacturing, whether that is in whole or in part – rather than not at all.
