Shoes tend to get a bit mangled when you take them to high school, college, three Fests, dozens of shows and Mardi Gras. But I do love the lovely ventilation the holes provide for my pinky toes But I love my red high-tops, too. They look like clown shoes!

Why everybody hates the crusties? They've given me free booze and a place to sleep many times.
I think Freud coined the idea of punk rock jealousy to define a punk rock kid who is ashamed of the life he lives, desperately wishing he could be an anarchist and quit his job but unable to give up those expensive microbrewed beers.

The last thing I'm jealous of is a dirty, smelly, jobless, homeless person that sits outside of bars and clubs and asks for change, then when I don't give them any calls me a PoS. get a life

Are crusties annoying/unwanted? Sure. Does creating a discussion topic do anything helpful about that? No. They're human beings too and stuff like this just makes Festers look like haters. They are an annoyance when they hangout on the sidewalks, ask you for money, and eye fuck you all the time. I think people tolerate crusties more than your typical bum because they are viewed in some way/shape/form as having some kind of relation to the "punk" music scene.

Ill let you sleep on my floor this year if you'd rather.

I can appreciate someone wanting the experience of "living free." But, Crusties take it too far and disgust the shit out of me.

If you're serious, hell yes. Also: A duck walks into a bar and asks the bartender for a drink. "Ain't you a little young to be drinking?" the bartender asks. And the duck says "Lemme get yo change!" A crusty told me this joke last Fest and earned my two dollars.

I tolerate anyone out begging on the street about the same, because most of them have enough social skills to understand the rules of engagement, and thus don't bother me at all. The ones that don't seem to me to occur in equal proportion across all populations of beggars. I reserve the vast majority of my daily intolerance for people who annoy me in traffic.
