But, if y'all are super chill, generally awesome and not all that into clothes and shoes, then you're like Florida. I just checked out that link. You're pimping all the same things to tourists Florida pimps! Sun, sea and roller coasters!

I dropped 5-6k easy, mostly on drugs, bitches and booze. Fuck merch, fuck food and mostly fuck you. Wait, I did buy one black tshirt, but that's because I threw up all over the neon green and glittery fluorescent shirt I was wearing.

I'm really going to try to limit myself. I really dont plan on buying much merch... maybe some sort of Fest shirt, maybe a couple cds. I'd rather have the money for food/drinks/cab fare. I'm thinking about bringing about $300, so that should last me, I hope.

Somewhere around £1700, hehehehehe. Cool. I'll be hanging out with you, then.

Merch last year was some of the cheapest I've seen. Didn't see a shirt for more than $20 and most were $15 or less. I don't see why you would need to pack more than one pair of jeans and one pair of shorts for the week. And the less you bring over the more you can take back Trust me, Floridians are NOT fancy. You think American tourists look over-casual? Wait until you hit the Sunshine State. I'm getting the feeling that Florida is the Queensland of the US. I'm a Queenslander, so I'll be ok. Also the shirt idea is awesome! Really the shirt idea applies to everything! We're from Sydney & have been over to The Fest a couple of times & you truly don't need to pack alot. So pack what you think you need & take about half of it out! You really won't wear as much as you think & if you do need something you just buy it! Go with a half full suit case & save your money on having to send things back.

Not drinking alcohol and curbing my merch spending money usually helps saving money, for me!

I get drunk pretty easily and don't eat a whole lot, I think I've taken somewhere around $200-250 for the past 2 years and come back with a fair bit. Bought a few shirts merch-wise. Just depends what you want to buy really but you can easily get by on very little over the course of the weekend if you need to I'd say.

Well I have the cost of the hotel covered because that'll be pretty much all of my holiday pay from work. And booking flights in two weeks so after that everything I can save between now and October 25th will be spent on food/drink/merch and more merch

Dudes usually buy me beer, but I only brought $100 last year. I'll have more this year for merch.

You should never need a cab at Fest (Unless of course you drove you're car and are drinking) Ask other Festers for rides to warehouse/house shows ands what not and you'll save money, and don't feel bad/awkward asking people you just met cause that's what Fest is all about!

I was actually going to see if anyone was coming into gnv around the same time as me and wanted to share a taxi into downtown gainesville on thursday, the 27th but my friend told me there are buses i can take into town. I just hope i dont fuck up and get lost :/ I was thinking more of cabs after the late shows but he told me there are buses I can take, so I'll probably be catching the bus. I'm way too shy and awkward to ask random strangers for rides. haha
