I genuinely have no idea how much I spend at Fest, I find it really hard to take dollars seriously and pretty much treat it like Monopoly money, which rarely ends well.

The gf and I stash about $500 for merch and food. We came home with money last year. Bands had shitty merch.

If you don't drink Adderall is like the best thing possible to bring for Fest.
But for spending money I usually dont spend more than $100-150 and all of that is simply food and alcohol. I usually don't buy merch because i'll lose all of it. Though this year I might have to ante up the amount of money so I can drink the wall since I didn't last year.

I had more money last year compared to my 1st Fest, but my bank seems to make my account look emptier than it is on weekends. Going to change that so I can eat and drink a lot more.

I got a decent bit of inheritance recently so I'm going to try and stash that away until Fest times and then blow the whole damn thing.
Somewhere around £1700, hehehehehe.

Somehow I have managed to get by on $150 or less, every single Fest I've attended (this will be my 5th). I've avoided buying merch/records for the most part and basically just spent it on food/gas/etc. I bring extra/excess to pay for the hotel/car rental. Refraining from merch and records is the hardest but its the only way I can control my spending. If I brought ANYTHING more than $150 for spending I would have too many heavy bags to bring home with me full of crap, and it'd be all gone by the time I got home. Oh, and the fact that I don't drink alcohol and therefore spend nothing on beer saves a lot

Last year a guy mentioned that he doesn't pack more than a couple shirts because he ends up buying enough to last the trip. Which is totally believable and genius. Merch last year was some of the cheapest I've seen. Didn't see a shirt for more than $20 and most were $15 or less. I don't see why you would need to pack more than one pair of jeans and one pair of shorts for the week. And the less you bring over the more you can take back Trust me, Floridians are NOT fancy. You think American tourists look over-casual? Wait until you hit the Sunshine State.

One of my proudest moments in life was Fest 6. I left New York with $100, had to chip in for gas in the van on the trip down, and rolled into Gainesville Friday morning with $23.72.
I left with 12 cents in my pocket Sunday night.

Also the shirt idea is awesome!
