Any recommendations, places to avoid etc? Now that I think about it, I don't remember that the site lists eating places. I think that's just in the guidebook. Either way, you'll get a list. In the meantime, you might check out the boards from past years to see what people have to say there.

I live here, but I only recently went veggie, so I'm always interested in learning about places with good options.

Boca fiesta is really good. Leonardos has great pizza, but the hot dog vendor that was right across the street from common grounds was awesome because he had veggie dogs that were cheap and satisfying for festers on the move.

Gator Dawgz The Top Flaco's Boca Fiesta are my top picks. Lots of good places to eat for Veg/Vegan in Gainesville...and close. Five Star even had a vegan pizza last year that was awesome.

i miss flacos and gator dawgs the most. and satchels. and a lot of other places. gainesville has a surprising amount of great food for being such a small town.

If anyone want to travel a little farther form the main Fest areas, Civilization and The Jones both have great vegetarian food (and locally produced meat too).

The Jones is awesome. I would go more often if it weren't for their cash only policy
