My boyfriend and I have lusted over Fest line-ups for years from down here in Melbourne, Australia. We're thinking about sucking it up and making the trip over to the States cuz this year's line-up is too good to miss.

I can't find much info online, so could anyone tell me how much tickets for the Fest usually are and when they go on sale? We're hesitant to book flights and stuff until we know we've got a ticket. We're hoping to get an accommodation package deal, sounds like the Holiday Inn is the place to stay if you're keen to party (we're not going half way across the world not to party).

Are there heaps of shows in the days leading up/afterwards? We're trying to figure out when to plan to get there and when to head off.

Sorry for the basic questions, no doubt it's common knowledge to everyone here but we're Fest virgins so any help is appreciated. Ta!

tickets will be around 75 & will most likely go on sale in the summer time. They won't sell out right away or anything.

the last years ticket sale it was around end of july when I remember right (but also the line up was announced way latrer than this year..)... from the three fests I attended only Fest 7 was sold out - I think like 2 weeks ahead, also I definitly expect more people again this year with that line-up

Peej said that tickets will go on sale when they launch the full site, which is tentatively scheduled for April 1st.

There are pre-fest shows usually the Tuesday-Thursday leading up to Fest in Gainesville, Tampa and Orlando.

I will bet 10 bucks tickets sell out really quick this year. I mean. Against me is some huge band selling out arenas. Atleast I know they sold out an arena here in MA. And I'm sure alot of against me fans will come to this for the chance to see them in a smaller venue. I'm planning on checking for tickets everyday until they are on sale and can be purchased. Might recommend the same for anyone who really wants to be there. Cheers.

I'll take that bet, to begin with I would guess Against Me! will play The Venue or somewhere of that size which is way bigger then venues they usually play (they still play Common Grounds every time they are in Gainesville, always sells out about a week before the show)
Punks and slow and lazy, while I don't disagree that tickets will sell out this year I don't see it happening till August-ish

I may be wrong and if so I will be in contact to give you your 10 dollars. I was thinking by May or so they'd be sold out. Again I could be wrong and if I am you will be 10 dollars richer come October.. But to be safe I will be getting my passes shortly after they go on sale. Fest weekend is pretty much all I look forward to in the year and I am not taking any chances.

My guess is somewhere around August tickets will sell out. I will be purchasing my tickets though sometime soon after they go up. I'm more concerned about hotels being too booked....well hotels worth staying in haha

I don't think against me playing makes really any difference if it sells out faster or not this year,... it sure values up the line up for some people but I don't think a lot of people will just buy a 80$ weekend pass cause they play.. and the international festers (which meanwhile should be a good part of the crowd) fly all the way for the bands that don't come over frequently in europe..

I don't expect the venue to be fuller for against me than it will be for Dillinger four and None More Black.. I would be worried for tickets if they f.e. announce kid dynamite..

Rad, thanks so much all for your help. We booked all our flights and stuff a couple of days ago so now we're just camping out for Fest tix/accomm packages to go on sale. We've got eight nights all up in Gainesville so we can get over our jetlag and enjoy all the shows in the days leading up to the Fest.

Can't wait!! See you guys there x
