jakwayn wrote: This forum is great but I was just wondering how many people usually dress up overall? This is my first Fest and I would love to dress up and be in the halloween/Fest spirit but I wasn't sure if lots of people did or just a select few. I'd still do it if it wasn't halloween, this year I just need a costume that isn't inflatable so I manage to keep it on longer

Going as Luigi (from Super Mario Bros.) for a Halloween show next weekend! Still undecided if I'm going to be bringing the costume to Gainesville though. I wore one to Fest 7 and it was REALLY hot, not just outside/during the day but annoying inside the venues/to actually watch a band while wearing a costume. However, I may just bring it for the hell of it, its small enough and fits in a plastic bag since its a full-body costume with a hat/mustache. If I decide to wear it, for those that don't know me, look for me on Sunday wearing this:

I thought that being a short-ass it could be fun to dress as Toad (of nintendo not amphibious fame), but I could only find kids costumes.

I wish I had seen this thread BEFORE I went. I asked on Punknews if people usually dressed up and I got one response that made it seem like the only people in costumes would be non-Fest attendees that just happen to be downtown. Maybe I'll just wear it next year if I go back.

I said this on another thread, but the girl who went as Joel Robinson from MST3K...best Halloween costume, no doubt.
Suppose my costume wasn't too bad, either...it was a clean pair of clothes, heh.
