money is tight, I only bought one 7" at registration, and one 7" and a 10" from a band all weekend. I probably would have bought more if I had remembered to make it to an ATM.

it's too bad you missed PS Eliot. i caught almost all of their set and all but the first song of Lemuria's set. they're from Alabama so hopefully they'll return to florida soon.

Awesome Town:
- ate at a place I didn't know about before, Original Pizza Palace, and it was fucking awesome both times - Finally tried Bagels&Noodles FKA Bagels Unlimited. Tofu scramble was delicious (though) the service kinda sucked. - Stuck out the line at the Atlantic and finally saw Comadre! - Bunch of my friends' bands played Fest for the first time this year and it warmed my heart to see them getting such great reactions. - Beautiful weather all weekend - SWIMMING IN A POOL FINALLY! Previous Fests never got to swim due to not bringing a bathing suit, getting a tattoo two years in a row and a pool out of service. Always gonna go swimming at future Fests now. - Planes Mistaken For Stars - The Suicide Machines - Defeater's set at the Venue side stage was batshit insane - Karma Cream's coffee and stamp cards - Paint It Black - Attica! Attica!, Dave House, and Into It. Over It. back to back at the CMC on Sunday - Frank Turner's parking lot set - Dear Landlord the Juggalos!! - A certain not-to-be-named (unless you were there haha) Fest band dude peeing in the closet/on the floor at Jeremy, Ryan and Colin from Spanish Gamble's house on Friday morning was a lovely thing to wake up to and one of the funniest things all weekend - Wonderful Gainesville hospitality all around. I love you guys. - didn't get sick during Fest! wee!
Bummer Town:
- as usual missing a bunch of stuff/bands I would have liked to see due to conflicts, hunger, etc. Namely Hour of the Wolf, This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb, Frank Turner singing "Linoleum" with Fat Mike, not getting in to see Touche Amore and La Dispute - The ONE time I managed to get to Boca Fiesta all weekend, Sunday night... they were completely out of food!!! - missing Soul Control and therefore missing my friend Ryan stagedive wearing a weed pattern Snuggie - totally sick right now! wee!

AWWWWW YEEEAAH:
+ Squatting instead of paying for shelter + Lines weren't bad at all, got to see like 20 bands compared to like 6 last year + Stike Anywhere acoustic set was beautiful as was meeting Tom from Strike Anywhere + House shows happened after all + So glad I saw This Bike is a Pipe Bomb as they only play once a year nowadays + TWO DOLLAR CHIPOTLE BURRITOS
OHHH NOOOOOOOO:
+ Fest AIDS in the form of green throat mucus + Missed Outbreak and Punch + Ran out of money on Friday, forced to be a mooch the rest of the weekend

Sunday:
*No Idea record sales with me getting HWM live vol. 4 and Ann Beretta 7" *Frank Turner's set at 8 Seconds and then playing a super secret hotel room show later that night and taking my requests of "Jet Lag" and Billy Bragg's "New England". Also, Franz Nicolay was there as well. *Twelve Hour Turn reunion *Wollard covering HWM... but I don't remember the song. Nick, I'm glad to see you're finally home and safe! Sorry dude, I forgot Stache cause he was outside the whole time. And Louis is the cutest fucking dog ever. Really, I'm so bummed I didn't get any cuddle time with him. He also used my finger as a chew toy.

any idea why they didn't have the truck they had at past Fests to keep your bag/backpack in with a small fee each day. I missed a few bands because i couldn't bring my backpack in, but had no problem with this at any other venues. Someone told me Five Star was checking bags all weekend.

The only important thing is dancing with, buying a beer for, and chatting with several of my favorite musicians. Not a whole shit ton of places where that happens several times in a day.
