Every Fest is different, but you can pretty much expect the following to occur:
You will get split up from most of your friends, so try to have rendezvous places/times. Cell phones/texting don't always work in loud-ass venues, and you may not be able to charge them when you need them.
You will get drunk, so try to pace yourself. It sucks to be shit-hammered before the sun goes down.
You will spend an inordinate amount of time taking care of bodily functions (eating, crapping, etc...). Get used to it, and take advantage when you can. (Stocking up on food/snacks before you get here is a good idea). Make sure you bring Pepto.
Your balls will get chaffed, so bring some wet wipes and gold bond.
You will stink, so bring some deodorant.
You will be hot during the day and in the venues, and cold outside at night. Dress/plan appropriately.
You will get tired of walking, so bring some comfortable shoes. If you are going to be doing a lot of bouncing around, a bike may be a good idea if you can bring one down.
You will spend a considerable amount of time in line (without beer), so be patient and bring something to entertain yourself with.
You will want to see more bands than you possibly can, so plan well and don't try to cram too much in. You'll have way more fun if you just chill and take it all in. There's always next year.
We are all judged by the few people who behave inappropriately during Fest, so act right.
Hope this helps.

I hear Boca Fiesta has a good root beer. I need to try it.

Hope this helps. My friends in BTMI were talking about playing this house show, they said we should all beat up the cops if they come.

Every time you can in between shows, get a water. Seriously.
Nothing sucks more than having all this great music and fun around you and being dehydrated.
If I switch venues, I try to get a bottle of water to drink on the way. Yeah I end up peeing like every 4 minutes most of the day between all the water and beer, but it makes a huge difference (for me at least)

I try to have a cup of water every two beers. Get your hydrate-on and keeps your drunk in check. I was so dehydrated on Monday morning of Fest 7 that I honestly didnt think I was going to make it home alive. NEVER AGAIN

NEVER AGAIN I hear that, I ended up being so drunk/ dehydrated/ having diarhea the last night of Fest last year that I missed Defiance Ohio AND Youth Brigade and got lost walking the suburbs around the No Idea house for like an hour.
