Only reason I'm flying is 'cause my uncle/godfather gave me some Southwest Airline gift cards for Christmas. Otherwise, I'd either be driving, or once again missing Fest. Those rumors being true would rule. Here's hoping!

Hey Boston friends, we'll be in your town for a few days post-Fest with no particular agenda other than to see some sights and have some fun, what area should we stay in and what should we do?

Harvard square is a popular area to hang out. Sometimes you can catch a good show in that area. Not far from harvard square is central square on mass ave there usually some shit popping. alot of decent shows go through the middle east. and right next to the middle east you got TT the bears (although i boycott this club for a lawrence arms show having got shut down there) Ummm the aquarium is pretty nice. and the museum of fine arts is interesting shit. Yep. Have fun.

Hey dudes. There could be some good shows going down, or just good beer drinking and what have you. I'd explore places like Allston and Jamaica Plains if you're looking for stuff to do. There are good venues for shows and stuff there, plus cool bars and things. Especially in JP. But yeah, like larryarms said, Cambridge has Harvard Sq. plus venues like the MidEast and TTs, and some others. I'm bad at this stuff. But let's hang at Fest then rock Boston.

We booked into the Taj on Arlington Street, is that a good spot?
(It seems like a really nice hotel but it was pretty cheap so we're a little alarmed that a/ the rest of the bill is still to follow and b/ there'll be bell boys and concierges and things and we'll need to learn how to do the handshake tip thing.)
