So Fest is around the corner, and that means as most of us know, 3 or 4 or 5 days of abusing the shit out of our bodies with alcohol, drugs, sleep deprivation, bad hygiene, etc....

For anyone who's been to a Fest or two already, you know that this can easily bring on an onslaught of the FESTAIDS. I was just thinking we should exchange advice on how to prevent the festaids or deal with it once you have it.

I know that personally, i try to bring a case of Emergen-C down to Gainesville every year, that and making sure you actually have some water seemed to help me out immensely the last couple years. Sleep seems like a fool's game since you're only trading zzzzz's for bands and parties.

So yeah, anyone have any good advice for the rookies or even us folks who've gone to a few but still can't seem to leave healthy.

i just make sure to take at least 1 shower a day. That seems to keep most of the germs away.
And drink a lot of punch at common grounds.

None of that sounds like homeopathy to me, just being sensible.

1 A day vitamins (the all encompassing ones) everyday for 1-2 weeks before Fest, plenty of water, not alot of drinking. Eat alot of oranges, and some lasagna. Powerful stuff, lasagna is.

This year I'm going to try vitamin C, leading up to and during the Fest, and also sleep more than 2 hours a night during the Fest. Maybe eat some fruit or something else that doesn't have cheese on, we ate so much cheese that a bunch of us were constipated for days haha.

There's free fruit salad at the hotel breakfast buffet. If we live of that for a couple of days before Fest well be invincible! Well that and cider anyway...it's made of apples!

Are American Crusties particularly bad?
No can do if Assholeparade are on though!

I don't remember what year it was, but Star Fucking Hipsters played a house show and some big, dirty bastard next to me kept scratching his head and shaking out his "hair" and I don't know what the fuck was flying out of it, but it was getting all over me.

And there are always some kids sitting around with some sad-looking dog, asking people for change during the Fest.
