no particular order:

Best Moments
1) SAKES ALIVE covering "Party Hard" at a 4.30am at the warehouse and everybody just freaking out
2) Standing in line at CG just in front of the door and seeing they let more people in so I really can see GUNMOLL after missing the first 3-4 songs in line
3) TURKISH TECHNO being totally stoked about the fact that somebody from germany loves them and playing "Little Lies", which I requested after leaving that song out at the basement show
4) I every single second of the MENZINGERS Show at the Atlantic... this was probably the most insane show I ever saw
5) arriving at SAMIAM just in time for "Dull" seeing Chris Wollard joins them at the song and Josh coming up saying something like: "Hell - already wondered why you are not here"
6) arriving in G'Ville, standing in line at the registration and the first familuar faces walking up and just feeling like "Oh, well - I'm home"
7) explaining Phillip the "Walking the Wolf"

Worst Moments
1) getting in line for GUNMOLL 1,5 h early and not sure if I make it in
2) having CG reaching the cap limit 5 people before me and Josh are in for GUNMOLL and hearing them start playing thru the open door
3) waking up saturday morning

there is no such thing as a bad moment in a weekend where I get to see Samiam and Small Brown Bike

so highlights for me were
1. meeting sawtooth
2. hanging out with all the out of town folk
3. Friday night warehouse show included the O Pioneers Piebald cover and everyone still having the energy to go nuts for The Menzingers at 5am
4. The bouncers at The Venue slamming on walls and head banging to Strike Anywhere while knocking over all the bartenders stuff
5. Watching Tim Barry dig through the stack of free Avail LP's at the No Idea yard sale
6. Bangers at the side stage
7. Red City Radio's set at the house show sunday night

I was there and didn't get to witness that.

Kinda wish I did, though.

A photo waiting to be taken. Had i been there it would have happened but I would have snuck it. Tim gives me hell when he sees me taking candids of him. "Are you going to facebook it?"...haha, probably.

American Armada's set was so much fun. So bummed I missed OWC. They're my boys but the schedule conflicts are a bitch. At least we got to party!

Best:

- getting to see both Samiam AND Shook Ones due to no lines when I showed up for either, and seeing/shoving my way up front/surviving during my Dull right into She Found You
- during Samiam's last song, my friend Chris runs over to me, hands me the set of our group's rental car keys and jumps on stage, stage dives with the hugest smile on his face. After the set finished, he realized he lost his phone, so him, his fiancee and our friends go off searching for it. Two minutes into the search, my phone rings and I see Chris's name flashing on the screen, I answer and a dude says "Hey, I have your friend's phone, I'm on the stage with it". I look up and see a stagehand holding it from the Venue stage. Best example of Fest friendliness/awesomeness/hospitality right there.
- Attica! Attica! set at the CMC. Aaron's voice was shot but he still sang his heart out and the crowd right back along with him
- Cheap Girls acoustic set at the CMC, also great singalongs
- the insanity of having a table during Friday registration and getting to see so many old friends during it
- Dead To Me's set at the Venue on Saturday
- Pre-fest show at 1982 allowed me to open up some weekend set conflicts and see a lot of bands I would have otherwise missed. From now on, I think I'm gonna always get into town a day early as it was also nice to just chill around Gainesville in the calm before the storm.

Worst:

- woke up with a headache on Saturday morning that progressively got worse and worse throughout the day. Despite all the Tylenol, it didn't help and by the evening I had a full blown migraine that caused me to go back to the hotel early and miss The Knockdown, Good Luck, Look Mexico and the Saturday warehouse show. I would have LOVED to see Sakes Alive's AWK cover.
- slight stress of running a table at registration
- almost getting arrested for drinking a root beer on the street on Friday outside of Market Street and having a Common Grounds employee try to confiscate my Sprite can while waiting on line
- not getting in to see Gunmoll, Comadre and This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb

Best:

1. Shooting A Wilhelm Scream (never ever thought that would happen)
2. Having many friends playing and working at the Fest
3. Seeing friends I haven't seen in who knows how long
4. Seeing bands I haven't seen ever or in who knows how long
5. 1 Dollar PBR tallboys (at the convenience store)
6. Carrying my friend six blocks only to throw him in a bush (or so I was told)
7. And then peeing behind a church (which I found out because someone videotaped it on my own camera)
8. Unpacking when I got home only to find many surprises from the weekend (LTJ shot glass, burn holes in clothing, etc)
9. Seeing numerous grown men cry during Tim Barry
10. Seeing my friend eat shit and hit the floor immediately after jumping off the stage during Broadway Calls
11. Totally Michael

Worst:

1. Shooting the Fest, making me unable to mosh my ass off to a bunch of bands
2. Waiting on registration line with my suitcase, in jeans, burning my ass off for hours

Worst

• getting manhandled after my only stage dive at The Venue. Not enough stage dives in general this Fest.
• saw Sakes Alive play 1.5 songs at UF with terrible sound. Missed them at the warehouse. missed some other bands too.
• did not wake up my gf to take her to the warehouse on Friday night. She was bummed she missed it.
• did not get to hang out with a few people I wanted to.

BEST

• Seeing tons of friendly faces, old and new. My buddy Eric finally going to The Fest.
• got to see 5 of my "must see bands" TWICE EACH. Panthro, Cheap Girls, SBB, CIS, HOTW.
• house/warehouse shows.
• best crowd I have ever seen Gunmoll play to.
• feeling nicely buzzed Sunday afternoon after a beer at The Alcove.
• my girlfriend got to see a good bit of The Fest, and enjoyed a few of the bands.
• The guys in Hour Of The Wolf appreciated my enthusiasm for the past three Fests so much that they wouldn't even let me pay for their new record.
• ate plenty of good food, especially a ton of Flacos.
• talked to Jason Rockhill about The Prisoner, thoroughly confusing most of 1982.

and tons of stuff I am forgetting at this moment, but think about all year long.... but the best moment of The Fest 8....

Kai explaining about "Walking The Wolf"
