I've always hated the labels people put on one another and the stereotypes that come with them. I sure as hell hate being labeled and stereotyped. I have friends in all walks of life, always have. I've prided myself on this all my life. It is idiotic to only point our fingers at one sub-genre of people for this incident. I was not there, I do not REALLY know what happened. Yes, it is possible that someone was unjustly arrested. And that really sucks for them. To have that on your permanent record for life is a bad bad thing. But if someone was arrested for assaulting an officer that really did, shame on them. I want nothing to do with violence and ignorance like that.

i just keep getting more upset, because i read all these things, im keeping up with the media, i think alachua commitee agaisnt brutality is a good thing. and im friends with the people who got arrested. i know them. and they arent stupid. they are good people. and they werent involved in beating that officer. and its really upsetting that they have these serious charges agaisnt them and all i read on the internet is shit like "fuck crusties! take a fucking shower! they shouldve gotten shot!"

everyone keeps assuming that the ones arrested were the ones beating, but its not true. my friend was arrested trying to go away from the scene, walking the way the one cop told him to go and then another cop starts to push him the other way. he goes, he gets grabbed, he pulls his hand away, tackled to the ground, arrested, felony!

not all people who look like crusties are those kids spangin on the street. alot of those crusties are hard working people, musicians, artists, philosophers, intellectuals.
