Walking down South Main St. at about 4:50ish a hooker tried to get me to give her money... she mentioned getting me laid when I walked back later that night... or she would "help me find my car" ...needless to say I walked back with a group of people I didnt know.

Was she by that liquor store that they sit in front of all day? I saw the same thing happen to a guy on Sunday night. Dude high-fived her and she grabbed his hand and offerend him a beej if he gave her a dollar. This was after I saw her drop her pants and squat to piss while I was walking to The Kickstand.

Was it the bald lady in the tight pink little number?

It was on that one corner, I guess it was by the liquor store(didn't actually notice what kind of store it was). I sorta felt like I was going to get shot walking down that street, so I didn't go to The Kickstand on Sunday night.

I ran into the same damn large blonde female prostitute every night via car no matter where I was. She always seemed to be in the road. That tactic won't work for me. i had a prostitute try to jump in my car before there. No fucking way I'm stopping.

Both years I've had some yelling at me 'You like what you see' while riding past on bicycle. I was quite confused.

That reminds me of my childhood/teen years... you have no idea.

On my way to kickstand a group of presumably homeless people were on the street, a woman asked me for a dollar, I had one in my pocket so I went to give it to her and another homeless man took it out of my hand first. She got up all pissed off that she had asked me for the dollar but that I had given it to him. I explained to her that he had taken it out of my hand and that this was now something that needed to be settled between the two of them since I unfortunately did not have another dollar on me. I was unsure how to handle it properly and was just glad to have not gotten stabbed. That street is shady at night

I normally walk down the east side of Main, which usually means that only the truly adventurous hustlers will approach me.

I used to ride past that park on my bike all the time before they fenced it in, though. Some odd curiosity would just suddenly compel me to go down that little street parallel to Main- always got a mixture of hostility and interest from a few people, though most there just seemed to be using it as a spot to sleep and keep their stuff.

What freaks me out way more is the pimps and prostitutes that hang out at some of the intersections with the Hawthorne trail (a bike path which starts just south of the kickstand and runs through SE G-ville). Always makes me want pull a Travis Bickle when I ride past them.

And that really saddens me. i did a LOT of Food Not Bombs meals in that park in the 90s and ate a lot of meals and talked a lot with homeless people back then. it didn't used to be so scary i swear.

The park is actually called Lynch Park.
The reason it is fenced in is because they are turning it into a dog park.

I have friends who live in the only house that faces the park.
They have a million stories of shenanigans that go on around there.
